Midwest Domestic Honeymoon Destinations?

Has anyone been to the Kohler Club, or Menominee MI? I've also hear Terra Haute IN (if money is no object..haha) and St. Louis (great Italian restaurants) can be nice destinations. Also I've heard there is a nice resort in French Lick IN. Maybe not Bali, but...

1. NYC, but thats not really Midwest.
2. Gunflint lodge in Whitefish MN. It's beautiful in the winter and fall, or Bluefin bay on lake Superior in Duluth. It's beautiful and you can even go scuba diving for Lake Superior shipwrecks in the summer and spring.
